One of the challenges of in-person conferences is dealing with the sleep deprivation travel, time zone changes and conference over-scheduling impose on us. How many times have you been more fascinated watching the head bobs of a drowsy fellow session attendee than the presenter because you could really use a nap, too?
The pandemic isn’t over yet, so while the Europe APMP conference will be held virtually next week, and we will all miss people watching and meeting colleagues and customers in person, let’s admit it: we have all had ample time to catch up on our sleep (for the past 16 months!).
Next week, let’s wake up early, grab a coffee or tea, and learn something new. For those of us in the eastern US, sessions begin in the wee hours and end at noon. The complete schedule and registration information is available on the APMP website.
And, since we all know the best presenters get those late day sessions that attendees will stick around for, my recommendation to members based in Europe is to make sure not to miss RocketDocs CEO Jason Pappas presenting, “Stop Wishing, Start Demanding: Elevating Response Management”, a session coincidentally aligned beautifully with the APMP’s exciting image makeover. The session begins at 11am EDT. Jason’s session abstract and bio are below.
Next year we can all dress up and fight to stay awake through presentations, but this year, before the pandemic is over, set your alarm and be ready to focus on the content. See you there!
“Stop Wishing, Start Demand: Elevating Response Management”
Inevitably in almost every customer conversation, the response management leader feels that their team is understaffed, under financially resourced and underappreciated. This session is designed to teach tried and true principals and best practices to elevate the value and resources available to response teams. Takeaways include: Understand the essential principals of elevating team value within organizations of any size; identify the key levers to demonstrate significance to company leadership; recognize the best practices of effectively communicating tangible worth in any conversation.
