This week’s employee spotlight features Cindy Zhang, RocketDocs’ QA Manager. Working out of Maryland, Cindy has been a member of the team since 2020. While she could easily have been a professional baker with her amazing baking skills, Cindy likes to investigate technical problems and figure out where they originated.
What is your role at RocketDocs?
I am the QA Manager at RocketDocs which means I work with various stakeholders across the company to ensure that our product is always meeting the needs of our customers. I troubleshoot bugs as well as test features before they are deployed.
What’s your favorite part of your role?
I enjoy investigating the root causes of issues and determining how to fix them. Additionally, I have final sign-off on any releases before they go live which is exciting!
What made you want to work at RocketDocs?
Before I even joined the team, the leadership at RocketDocs recognized my value and changed my title from Senior QA to QA Manager. I feel very appreciated for the work that I do!
How would you describe the company culture at RocketDocs?
The team at RocketDocs is a really nice group of people. As a remote employee, I appreciate that we do a lot to stay engaged like daily standups, virtual happy hours, and team-building activities.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I love to bake for my family (but I don’t like to cook – that feels like a task to me)! Their favorite recipe that I make is coconut bread.
What’s your favorite place you’d ever traveled?
My husband and I love to travel! Whenever we can’t decide where to go, we always end up taking a vacation to Florida. My kids love going anywhere with a pool. 😊
