Terms of Service
The terms under which RocketDocs provides its response management Services. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms, understood them, and agree to be bound by them.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Services provided by RocketDocs, Inc., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to do so.
2. Description of Services
RocketDocs provides response management software ("Services") that helps teams respond to RFPs, DDQs, security questionnaires, and similar structured information requests, plus generate proactive sales proposals. Specific features and modules included in your subscription are detailed in your subscription agreement.
3. User Accounts
Standard provisions covering account creation requirements, the accuracy of information, account security responsibilities, prohibited account behavior, and termination of accounts.
- Account creation: who may create an account, age requirements, accuracy of registration information
- Account security: password protection, unauthorized access notification, multi-factor authentication where applicable
- Account use: who may use the account, prohibited sharing, organizational accounts and administrators
- Account termination: when accounts may be suspended or terminated, and the consequences
4. Acceptable Use
Standard provisions covering permitted uses, prohibited uses, content restrictions, and consequences of violations, including provisions specific to AI-generated content and the customer’s responsibility for content shared through the Services.
- Permitted uses: use the Services for legitimate response management purposes within your organization
- Prohibited uses: illegal activity, infringement, harassment, security violations, system abuse, reverse engineering, competitive intelligence gathering against RocketDocs
- Content restrictions: customer responsibility for content uploaded, shared, or generated through the Services, including AI-generated content
- Compliance with laws: customer responsibility for compliance with all applicable laws including data protection, intellectual property, and industry-specific regulations
5. Intellectual Property
Standard provisions covering RocketDocs ownership of the platform and underlying technology, customer ownership of customer content, license grants in both directions, and trademark restrictions.
- RocketDocs intellectual property: ownership of the Services, platform, software, documentation, trademarks, and branding
- Customer content: customer ownership of content uploaded to or generated through the Services
- License grants: limited license from customer to RocketDocs to operate the Services on customer’s behalf, and limited license from RocketDocs to customer to use the Services
- Feedback: how customer feedback and suggestions are handled with respect to intellectual property
- Trademark and brand restrictions: limitations on use of RocketDocs trademarks and branding
6. Subscription and Payment
Standard provisions covering subscription terms, payment obligations, late payment, taxes, refund policies, automatic renewal, and price changes.
- Subscription term: contract length, automatic renewal terms, advance notice for non-renewal
- Fees and payment: how fees are calculated, payment terms (typically net 30), payment methods accepted
- Late payment: consequences of late or non-payment, including service suspension
- Taxes: customer responsibility for applicable taxes
- Price changes: how price changes are communicated and when they take effect
- Refunds: refund policy and conditions
7. Confidentiality
Standard mutual confidentiality provisions covering definition of confidential information, mutual obligations, exceptions, duration of obligations, and remedies for breach.
- Definition of Confidential Information: customer data, RocketDocs proprietary information, business information shared during the relationship
- Confidentiality obligations: protection of confidential information, limited access, return or destruction upon request
- Exceptions: information already public, information independently developed, information lawfully obtained from third parties
- Duration: how long confidentiality obligations survive after termination
8. Data Protection and Privacy
Customer privacy and data protection are governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. For data processing relationships, customers may also enter into a separate Data Processing Addendum (DPA) with RocketDocs that addresses GDPR, CCPA, and similar data protection regulations.
Provisions include data ownership, data security commitments, breach notification, customer audit rights, sub-processor management, and compliance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Service Level Agreement
Specific Service Level Agreement terms are detailed in your subscription agreement. The standard SLA includes target platform availability, scheduled maintenance windows, incident notification commitments, and service credits for prolonged unavailability.
10. Warranties and Disclaimers
Standard provisions covering limited warranties offered, disclaimers of implied warranties, AI-specific disclaimers (no guarantee of AI accuracy, customer responsibility for human review of AI-generated content), and any state-specific warranty provisions.
- Limited warranties: that RocketDocs will provide the Services with reasonable care and consistent with industry standards
- Disclaimers: as-is provision, disclaimer of implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement (subject to applicable law)
- AI-specific disclaimers: AI-generated content is for review and approval by qualified humans; RocketDocs does not warrant AI accuracy in all cases
11. Limitation of Liability
Standard provisions covering cap on liability (typically tied to fees paid in the previous 12 months), exclusion of consequential damages, and exceptions to liability limitations (often gross negligence, willful misconduct, intellectual property indemnification, breach of confidentiality).
12. Indemnification
Standard provisions covering customer indemnification obligations (typically for customer content and customer use violations), RocketDocs indemnification obligations (typically for intellectual property infringement claims), procedures for indemnification, and exclusions.
13. Termination
Standard provisions covering termination for convenience, termination for cause, effects of termination, post-termination data return, and survival of provisions.
- Termination for convenience: how either party may terminate without cause
- Termination for cause: material breach, insolvency, regulatory action, security incident
- Effects: customer data return per Privacy Policy and subscription agreement; cessation of Services access; payment of outstanding fees
- Survival: provisions that survive termination (intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability, governing law)
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by applicable state law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the jurisdiction designated by our legal team.
15. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: these Terms together with referenced documents (Privacy Policy, subscription agreement) constitute the entire agreement
- Assignment: limitations on customer assignment, RocketDocs ability to assign
- Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply
- Waiver: failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of future enforcement
- Force majeure: relief for events beyond reasonable control
- Notices: how legally significant notices must be delivered
- Amendments: how these Terms may be amended, including any required notice and acceptance
